National Feral Day October 16th is National Feral Day and in recognition of the day, SJACS and PAWS will be having a feral cat only day at the SJACS spay/neuter clinic. Feral cats are cats that cannot be petted or handled, which differs from a stray or homeless cats (“friendlies”). Tuesday, October 14th, will be for feral cats only and no “friendlies” will be accepted. This will enable trappers to trap the weekend and for “hold–overs” to be done the next day, if needed. All feral cats need to come in traps and be brought to the shelter between 7:30 to 8:30am. This day will be FREE to people bringing in feral as PAWS is funding it.
