Charm (a Maine Coon cross young pregnant adult) with a “missing” eye came from a SJACS-referred case. The “home” said it was an injury from a long time ago, but on Vet exam it turned out that part of the left eyeball remained, was infected, that an eyelid adhered and needed to be cut, and a blood vessel tied off. PAWS assisted with half of the medical expenses for the eye, along with 13th St Cats www.13thstcats.orgwhich was the rescue group willing to bring her in for rescue/adoption. Charm is a very friendly, extremely pretty, absolute sweetheart, and really cute with her curly tail, that just circles over her back! Besides being charming, she is an extra special kitty being one-eyed, but it doesn’t seem to bother her at all and she was adopted by a great family with another kitty and the family says she is doing great. A wonderful, happy-story ending.
