On December 19, 2011 a house caught on fire in San Jose from a spark from the fireplace that caught the Christmas Tree on fire. A victim of that fire was Charlie, a chocolate lab who was burned severely and also malnourished from obviously not getting the care he needed in his home with his owners.  Charlie needed a lot of medical attention, including pain management, surgery to remove part of his ear and neutering, and needed a place to heal and a lot of love and comfort. Animal Shelter Relief (animalshelterrelief.org) stepped in and took Charlie, found him a loving foster home, paid for his medical needs with the support of PAWS for SJACS and is now searching for that forever home for Charlie.
