The PAWS Medical Assistance Fund is for eligible rescues/rescuers.

You may qualify if you:

  • pull animals (cats, dogs, rabbits) from SJACS
  • are an independent rescuer or a non-profit 501(c)(3) rescue
  • have an animal that is adoptable who needs non-routine medical care?

If you do not meet the qualifications below for this fund, please visit our resources page for a listing of low-cost veterinary care and other helpful links.

To date, we’ve helped adoptable animals from SJACS with these types of non-emergency expenses:
  • dental, extractions, hernia, pregnancy, dew claw, orthopedic, ultrasound, ophthalmology

Upon Approval – Checklist

Schedule to participate in a PAWS sponsored event(s): Everyone who receives funding is encouraged to participate in one or more PAWS fundraisers. A PAWS volunteer can provide you with more information on this important requirement. Without volunteers helping to raise funds, PAWS wouldn’t have the resources to help so many animals or provide critical support for special programs.

Provide acknowledgement to PAWS for helping provide financial assistance, on your website, in animal’s bio, at adoption fair.
