Hey everyone! I'm in the middle of working on a new project and was wondering about something. I've been tasked with designing a logo for a small business, and I'm really not sure where to start. I’ve read a lot of articles on the importance of having a strong brand identity, but I’m still kind of stuck on how to translate this into a logo. I know some designers have a method for building logos from scratch, but it all feels a bit overwhelming. Does anyone have some advice or tips to guide me through the process? I found this article on designing logos from scratch and thought it might have some insight: logo from scratch. Anyone who’s been through this could share their experience?

Hey! Designing a logo can definitely feel overwhelming at first, but breaking the process into steps can make it a lot more manageable. I’ve been through this a few times, so here’s how I usually approach it:
Understand the Brand: Start by diving deep into the business you’re designing for. What are its values, target audience, and mission? Think about how you can visually represent those ideas.
Sketch Ideas: Don’t worry about perfection at this stage. Just brainstorm and put down as many concepts as you can. Focus on symbols, shapes, or even fonts that resonate with the brand's identity.
Choose Simplicity: A great logo is often simple and easy to recognize. Think of logos like Apple or Nike—minimal, yet memorable.
Experiment with Typography and Colors: Fonts and colors play a huge role in branding. Choose colors that evoke the right emotions (like blue for trust or green for growth) and fonts that fit the brand’s tone (modern, classic, playful, etc.).
Iterate and Refine: Get feedback from others (friends, coworkers, or even the client). Use their input to tweak your design until it feels just right.
